All good points; however, the requirement exists for regulatory reasons. I always go into this with my head up and propose that applications only select from views that have the where clause built-in. However, I am always outvoted by colleagues who don’t have the experience that you or I do. When software development is a social endeavor (as opposed to a hobby project), we must be flexible enough to keep the family happy.
